Kobayashi knows that you care about the collection and use of your information and thus has created this Privacy Policy to describe how we collect, use, share, and protect your information. By visiting kobayashiamericas.com or other sites of Kobayashi and its subsidiaries (the “Websites”), you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. We may need to update our Privacy Policy, and if we choose to do so, we will post the changes on this page. Such changes shall apply to information collected after the date of the change. 3. DO NOT TRACK SIGNALS
Because there is as of yet no common understanding of how to interpret Web browser-based Do Not Track (“DNT”) signals, we do not currently respond to undefined DNT signals.
4. RETENTION OF YOUR INFORMATION
Personal information that we collect, access or process will be retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, unless otherwise provided for under services contracts with clients or as required or authorized by law. It is important to note that the Websites are operated in the United States. When you exercise these rights and submit a request to us, we may verify your identity by asking you for your email address, telephone number, and physical address. We also may use a third-party verification provider to verify your identity. We will endeavor to honor these requests unless such a request conflicts with certain lawful exemptions under the California Consumer Protection Act. Please note that Kobayashi is only required to honor such requests twice in a 12 month period.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights. In particular, we will not (i) deny you goods or services; (ii) charge you different prices for goods or services; (iii) provide you with a different level or quality of goods or services;(iv) retaliate against you or (v) threaten you with any of the above. For the 12-month period prior to the date of this Privacy Policy, Kobayashi has not sold any personal information about California residents and has not shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes; nor does it have any plans to do so in the future. 10. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Our Website and services are not directed at children and we do not knowingly solicit or collect personally identifiable information from children under 16 years of age without verifiable parental consent. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personally identifiable information, please contact us promptly by sending an e-mail message to Kcpinfo@kobayashi.com with “Request for Child Information Removal” in the subject line and the name and age of the child in the body of the message. We will then make reasonable efforts to delete the child’s information from our database and to not use such information for any purpose (except where necessary to protect the safety of the child or others as required or allowed by law).
